Compass test and financial aid?

I was wondering does the compass test have anything to do with receiving financial aid? Like does the scores have anything to do with weather or not you can get financial aid? If you get low scores on the test then will you not be able to get financial aid, someone told me that the scores mattered if you get high scores then you would be able to get financial aid and low scores meant you wouldn't.

Since I do not even know what this test is and have never taken it I still get financial aid. Financial aid has more to do with your FAFSA. You fill that out and the college you choose to attend will work up a package for you. I receive the Pell Grant, Subsidized Stafford Loan and Unsubsidized Stafford Loan.
