Comparing 600 Katana vs. 695 Ducati Monster?

Alright I currently have the Katana and was thinking of getting the monster, it's a very nice looking bike.
I know the Ducati Monster is sexier, I know it's better made but for some reason I have a feeling I won't have the same acceleration. I want more torque not less if I am going to be paying big bucks.

Anyone have some input.
 
The 695 is a lot lighter, so you will feel the torque more. If you want torque over weight, why not the Bandit 1200 or an older 900 Monster? The Bandit is affordable and powerful.

Bike on-line and magazine tests will give you performance numbers. The 695 is in a few magazines this and last month.
