Command Prompt problem. Can anyone help?

Open Command Prompt as Administrator - type ipconfig /flushdns (usual way to clear the DNS cache, used it many times). Suddenly it is not working. The message I get is
"Could not flush the DNS Resolver cache: Function failed during execution".
What is the problem and how do I clear it.
