Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour loading screen problems?

I'm having trouble connecting with my friends on Zero Hour. I can get to the custom game lobby and set up teams, but when the loading screen comes up, we only see ourselves loading and are unable to start the game. Has anyone else experienced this problem or have any advice on what to do? I've all ready tried opening up various ports and turning off firewalls. We all use the First Decade disc and have version 1.04
