Comes with Music phased out - working on something new too

Comes with Music/Ovi Music Unlimited being discontinued. Not very surprising. But according to AAS they also say:

?We are currently working with our partners to deliver new, innovative music services as part of the Ovi experience during 2011.?

Hopefully/probably a significantly stronger partnering element to it.

Also, may well align with some rumors I've heard - no details though.

Yup, definitely better for them to focus just on Nokia Music, especially since they never managed to negotiate (or pay labels enough) to make CWM DRM-free (unlike Nokia Music).

I'm sure this had to be a humiliating mea culpa for Nokia.

Their whole 'transform into a software services company' thing hasn't been working out so well for them. Over the last year, all they've done is shut down service after service.

Why on earth would they launch it in the US? The US has a hyper-competitive online music store segment. Amazon V. 7Digital V. iTunes and so on... Who the hell would want Nokia music?

Exactly, that was my point - the US market is already very crowded so very unlikely they would open one here. Who would want it? Well I guess the (at this point few and far between) Nokia phone owners would not mind having the Music store accessible on their phones.
