Colorful fish with Oscars?

I am getting a 110 gallon tank next week and I want to start a tank with 2 oscars in it. I also want some colorful fish in there. I read that some people have success with African Cichlids and others did not. I just want some color in it as well. Does anyone have any suggestions?
 
What do you mean by colorful?
Try a convict cichlid or a jack dempsey ( just make sure the oscars are bigger than the jack dempsy first)
