College or University (wildlife)?

I know it is long, but I'd really appreciate the advice!

I need to decide- I'm nearing the end of high school.
I'm not bigheaded, but I do get good marks. I know I could get into university if I wanted, and with my parents and my job I can afford it too. I am looking into wildlife biology and zoology programs. Like many, I am very passionate about animals. But I don't just see them on the outside as something cute or beautiful. I am very interested in their behavior in the wild, their thinking processes and instincts. I am extremely curious about them scientifically and am constantly watching documantaries- my favourite types of movies ;D - and reading large books about animals (when I'm not busy).

I know I'm not the only one, but believe I have potential to go far in animal sciences and contribute to the preservation of endangered species. I think that takes uniersity degrees though, at least a Masters and maybe a PhD. But I know that a lot of the careers after that type of education may hardly even be with animals, which makes me feel that I'd be happier to go to college.

There is a college program in my area (a great university is in my area too- U of Guelph) that teaches Wildlife rehabilitation. I know this would be hands on with the animals. And I really think I would enjoy this There is absolutedly nothing wrong with college of course, but in regards to the things one could achieve with a masters or PhD in zoology, is it a shame to go to college when I am so capable of going to university?
I don't know if this is laziness or just how I am, but I am not sure I even want to do the university degree careers if it is true that they mostly consist of being in labs indoors, writing reports and doing calculations. I really enjoy hands on work- especially with animals. But I always push myself to do my very best and make myself believe it is what I want. My mom is like that too- She does well in her career but she is stressed and unhappy with it.

Advice?
Thank U
