College GPAS.....................................?

In high school if you make straight A's you still don't get a 4.0 unless they were all 100's or at least the majority of them. Like my 94.4 GPA qualify's me for a 3.7 or 3.8. Is that what GPAs at colleges are like?
I agree with aaron 27.

Colleges aren't like high school. Typically they grade on a 4 point scale where an A is a 4 (an A+ might be a 4.3) a B is a 3, a C is a 2, etc. and your percentage score gets you a particular grade on that scale. So, all A's, even if they are "low" As, will get you a 4.0.

A pure a in grad school might require you to get a 96 percent, 94 percent, 92 percent.... It varies by university and the class. Most colleges simply give you a 4 for an a or an a- if you are an undergrad I haven't heard of that. It would sure make it harder for kids from your highschool to get in an elite college with that sort of grading.
