Skills Assessment
You are required to submit a story told through 24 photographs.
Carefully consider everything that appears in the photographs you will be shooting to tell
your story. Consider the physical setting (location), how the action is staged (blocking of
actors), how it is framed (composition), the order for the images (the beginning, middle
and end of the story), and how it is photographed (technical).
The images can be created with a disposable camera, a 35mm SLR camera or a digital
still camera. The images should not be digitally manipulated, must be submitted as
prints, and should not contain written descriptions. Prints must be numbered in
sequence from 1 to 24 and have you name on each photograph.
This is the port-folio assignment for a screen arts college course, and I'm stuck for an idea of a storyline. It isn't marked on the quality of the story, just on how I go about telling the story in 24 still frames. Could you guys throw around ideas, or link me to news articles that would be good to capture?
