COLLEGE ADMISSIONS ESSAY TOPIC TOO PERSONAL?

what if someone wrote about growing up and deciphering their own moral and beliefs from those of their parents. Such as dealing with the struggles of leaving christianity to become agnostic...? And then they could explain the daily fears and oppression they face...If they live in a Christian environment and have only Christian friends, would you recommend letting a teacher or letter of recommendation person read the essay and critique it..?

As far as I remember they are looking for stuff like why you are interested in that course and the college, personal achievements, what you could bring to the course and the college etc. You have taken a completely new way of writing a personal statement for college, not that that's a bad thing. You just need to be sure that it is what they would be looking for. I definitely would recommend getting a teacher to give it a read, in particular your school career guidance teacher, if your school has one. Good Luck!! :)
