Hey folks, I'm a junior in high school and I've been thinking a lot about college. Only recently has it had me a bit concerned... You see, I've never been skilled in math or science, but I've always been a good English student as well as a good social science student and foreign language student.
I've gotten A's and B's in all of my classes except one (Algebra 1 - freshman year, I got a D). I took geometry last year and got a B for both semesters. But this year, I have to take algebra 2 and chemistry. I don't know what I have in either one of them, but I know I don't have anything better than a D in algebra and I can't have anything better than a C in chemistry. I don't want these two piece of shit classes putting all of my hard work in jeopardy. I live in California, and I want to go to CSU, Chico.
If I do well in my senior year, what do you think my odds are of acceptance?
Are colleges understanding about people being weak in particular subjects?
Obviously I'm not going to pursue a major that has a lot to do with math and science.
Thanks for your time guys.
