Coil whine caused by monitor's low brightness?

I just recently discovered a very quiet whining noise coming from my monitor.. So I raised the monitor's brightness to 75% (it was at 50%), and the noise went away. It actually went away after 65%, but I raised it up to 75% cuz I like that number more hehe..

Anyways, is this normal? It's an LG 22" 1680x1050 monitor.
