I downloaded movie avi file (about 730MB) from utorrent ...
and then I open in Real Player ,,, Media Player ( Kaza lite Codex ) ,,, VLC Player ,,,
But every time a clip(about 20 seconds) was played having graphical animation and text written in it (as a part of that video clip)

"Codec error: Use windows media player"

then

"Aborting Video, Redirecting to Microsoft Codec Download Page"

When i open this in Windows Media Player same clip played and a internet browser page automatically opened having a link to Download a file of new VLC player .. but infact that is an spyware, adware, malware file...

(So u please dont open it in WMP because someone want to hack ur pc)

So the video file downloaded by the utorrent, wasn't an movie file that i wanted to download ... i have tried to download a new different movie file from utorrent .. but that has also same problem .. So i think this is problem with utorrent .. or dont know .. please help this out ...

Try downloading Combined Community Codec Pack from the following link:

http://www.cccp-project.net/

Open media player (different from windows media player) and go into options and set which files you would like to open with this application.

This should solve any issues. The only real viruses that can be contained in a video file is if it asks you to download licenses to watch the video and it redirects you to a website to install a license.
