My 5 year old Cockatiel has a wound on her back which she keeps chewing on - I took her to our vet and he wanted to put her down - He refused to even try anything to help her, so I took her home as shes still fine in herself. Even calling another couple of vets they are all saying the same thing.
Ive been cleaning it out and putting "bitter bite" spray on it, but she still keeps going for it (and anything with blood on it, eg if she rubs it on a perch she'll attack and try and eat that)
Is there anything else I can do?
