Coby CV-194 Noise Canceling Stereo Headphones don't work with my iPod or PC?

I have asked Apple and Coby and they both don't know why my Noise Canceling Stereo won't work with my iPod Classic or work on my PC. But they do work on my DVD. When I have them plugged into my iPod the Pod casts are all garbled. When I put on music I only hear music but not the singing. I never had Noise Canceling Headphones before so I am new at this. But it came with a battery I turned them on and still they don't work. But they are fantastic on my DVD.

I hate ear buds and the headphones I have for my iPod are getting old and I just wanted something new but I am disappointed.

So my question is why won't they work? I have the volume up on my iPod and PC.
 
sounds like your headphone jack is damaged. This is causing the leads from your connector to make a filter and not allow the entire music signal from being transmitted to your headphones.
