Cobra Pipes and the Cobra Fuel Processor

I put on some cobra drag pipes and the cobra fuel processing unit and I've noticed a drop in gas mileage..The pipes sound great though...

For those of you who have the cobra FI2000 on a C50, what settings do you have the FI2000 set to?

Thanks in advance,
Chris

Whenever someone adds a fuel processor to their bike, fuel consumption goes up.

reasons are:

1. We tend to use the throttle more.
2. The whole idea is to get more fuel in! FWIW the fuel processor is designed to add more fuel. More fuel = higher comsumption.

I can't offer much help with the FI2000R settings because I wanted the dealer to install it. But what I have noticed is quite the opposite of what was said earlier. My mileage has actually gotten better. I drive faster on the interstate than I used to and my mileage has gone from 47-48mpg to around 50mpg so far.

Maybe my bike needed a tuneup before and was getting far worse mileage than it was supposed to.

BTW I had the Cobra Streetrod pipes put on at the same time too.

I have been reading a lot about pipes lately for my 07 C90 and from what I have read it is normal to lose both mileage and usable HP when adding drag pipes. From what I have read the + is purely the sound...
So far it looks like the 2 into 1 gives both a deep rumble and the best usable HP gain.
i am still trying to figure out if I should go for the Power Commander of the Cobra...
