Why version 5? Because it's designed for Palm OS 5. AeroPlayer 6 will be designed for Palm OS 6 (aka Cobalt).
AeroPlayer 5 is a ground-up rewrite of the entire AeroPlayer product. If you've used previous versions of AeroPlayer, version 5 will feel familiar, but under the hood, everything is new! In particular, performance is drastically improved. If you use AeroPlayer in the background, you'll notice that in most situations, it will have virtually no performance impact on the other program you're running and skips during playback will be virtually eliminated.
The new playback system sets the stage for new transports, including internet streams(coming soon).
Note: This is a beta release! Several features from AeroPlayer 2.11.1 are not yet implemented in 5.0, but they WILL BE BACK!
