HI, ive got an old cannondale road bike that I really like, and its a pretty nice bike, but there is one noise that has been bothering me for awhile. Its a clunking noise, sort of a metal thud, that happens at complete random, and its coming from the front end somewhere.
I already repacked and regreased the front hub/bearings, and also overhauled the headset, and re-greased everything really good. I have no idea what this could be. Something with the fork maybe? I wish I could explain the noise better, its not at all a ticking or clicking, but more of a light "thud", sounds like something metal falling maybe?
Thanks
also, it happens whether i am pedaling or coasting, crank position does not matter
