i'm pretty good with cars (i'm an automotive engineer and do all my own work, for crying out loud), but i cannot seem to figure out what part of my wife's car is clunking. every time we hit a bump it's an awful clunk (way louder than a rattle), and we can feel it in our feet. i thought maybe it was the struts, so i changed those, but that wasn't it. i'm still learning front end work, don't have much experience there, so i don't really know what to look at to diagnose this. if i could diagnose the clunk, then i could fix it. it's a 2001 honda accord with 193,000 miles. i have done ZERO front end work in the 125,000 miles that we've owned it, other than the struts that i just did and brakes/rotors. any ideas?
