i woke this morning to find one of my new clown fish lying on the bottom of the tank.. one of the other clown fishes were lying on top of it trying to get it to move... what has happened to him? is he sick or is this a thing they do?? help please asap
it is a common clown fish in salt water... we have a bi colour blennie and some green chromis , we only bought them on thursday and we had the water checked yesterday by the shop we purchase all our things from, they said everything in the water was spot on,
he is moving as in he is moving his fins, and the other one looks like he is trying to get him motivated by flapping ontop of him...

Did you cycle the tank before you bought the fish ? Did you mix the salt water yourself or did you buy it already mixed ? Did you condition the water before you put it in the tank ? Many many factors could have come into play here. If you are a novice fish keeper I would just chalk it up to not knowing what you are doing and read LOTS of online articles about how to set-up and maintain a saltwater tank. Good Luck

you pretty much gave the minimal amount of information. what kind of clown fish? clown killi? clown loach? or is it salt water and its acually a clown fish?
also, what are the amonia, ph, nitrite , nitrate , hardness and temperature readings?

some more information is needed to fully answer your questions
