Hi Shopgirl,
I've been taking 2 mg a day for years. Sometimes 1 during the day and 1 at night or just 2 a night. It is not working for me anymore. I get the worst indigestion after taking them. I'm seeing a shrink now (my GP prescribed the clonazepam) and he told me to get down to 1 a day as I'm not really seeing
any difference when I take it now. He said it can affect your memory, not just immediate but permanently. He wants me off it for good but you have to go down gradually. I take Zoloft for anxiety and depression and it hasn't been working too well so the shrink keeps upping my dose. I'll be on 200mg in a week. One thing my GP did prescribe and the shrink has increased is seraqual. It was originally prescribed for sleep only and knocked me on my butt the first few weeks I took it. Now I've found that it works quite well for anxiety and have just started taking .50 mg during the day and .50 mg at night. It's a mood stabilizer/antipsychotic and prescribed in much higher doses for people with schizophrenia or bi polar. You may want to consider that if the clonazepam does not work well for you.
Best wishes,
JB
