I was wondering if anyone has used Clindamycin Phosphate Topical Solution, USP 1%. I just got on it and since I never heard of it before I was curious about how effective it is. Also if it is bad to also use Tazorac at the same time.

Yes I have. It worked well for me for a long time but the only thing I didn't like was that it made my face start to look greasy by the afternoon and I don't have oily skin. I would recommend it though. Its a good moisturizer after you shower.

Hi!

I have used Clindamycin once or twice (individual times like once a day, not for long perioRAB). I don't really like it, but may have to use it. I used to use Benzaclin and I liked that better. Do either of you know if Clindamycin (Cleocin) is safe to use during pregnancy?

Thank you and good luck with your treatment!

it worked well for me when i first started using it but i also used benzoyl peroxide with it..doesnt work anymore though

yes you can use clindamycin when you're pregnant or TTC, I'm using it at the moment because my skin broke out after going off the pill to TTC!

i justed gotten on with this treatment. Does it really work? my problem is oily skin and a few bumps. will it help? my doc gave it to me. help me out. thanks :bouncing:

Yes, Clindamycin IS safe during pregnancy :) Aside from Erythromycin topical cream, it is one of the few that doctors will prescribe. I used both Clindamycin and Erythromycin. Neither totally cleared up my skin, but they did help to control the acne. Word of warning: Some people do develop resistence to antibiotic creams after a while. For some people, it takes months. For others, it takes years. I developed a resistence to Erythromycin after two years.

Clin. helped me alot, now I use it only when I have stubborn pimples and want them gone quickly.

hi haley,

My doc prescribed me erthromycin and clindamycin at the same time. but the ziana clindamycin website says I shouldnt use it with erthromycin. Do you know why that is? and is it safe to do it since the dermat. prescribed it to me that way?
