We hear this mantra that AGW deniers are shills for big oil all the time. This is actually incorrect, and misleading
The Climate Research Unit (CRU) in the UK was set up in 1971 with funding from Shell and BP as is described in the book: "The history of the University of East Anglia, Norwich; Page 285)" By Michael Sanderson. The CRU was still being funded in 2008 by Shell, BP, the Nuclear Installations Inspectorate and UK Nirex LTD (the nuclear waste disposals people in the UK)
I think this is important to know, for two reasons.
Firstly, the key institution providing support for Global Warming theories and the basis for the IPCC findings receives funding from "Big Oil" and the nuclear power industry.
Secondly, the research from the institution which is perceived to be independent publicly funded research, is actually beholden to soft money, CRU is in fact a business.

Democrats claim to hate Oil companies and republicans are accused of being in bed with the oil companies. Is it just a bit Ironic some Oil companies are the original funders of The Climatic Research Unit?

I guess the important question is who stands to profit from a carbon tax. It would be interesting to know if Oil companies are involved with carbon credits.

I am not going to say Global warming is completely caused by man. We may have played a small role in accelerating it but our role is very small. Global warming should not be blamed entirely on man.

What if the real hoax/scam was the Carbon Tax if that passes.

The global warming is not to totally blame on men, but as we take liberties for using the natural resources as much as we want, we should also take responsibility for the damage we do and try to revert it.

The democratic claims are no more than a way to incite and inflame class warfare is a means to keep us fighting each other while the governments screw us over, again.
 
There is a general effort underway to blame the oil companies for the hacked e-mails. It's not in full swing yet because the left-wing is still in the process of writhing and squirming trying to find a way to wiggle out of their own lies. Never mind what the actual e-mails say, those evil oil companies and their Republican allies are conspiratorially trying to make you think something other than what you should blindly believe.
