Clicking neck causing headaches?

I have had a click in my neck/base of skull for a while now. I couldnt tell you exactly how long but it has been years. I'm only 22.

I was hit by a car in July 07 when i was 19. I had a sub-dural haematoma. I cant remember if this click strated before or after.

I suffer from daily headaches and have done since that accident. Alot of the time they are around my eyes and the sides of my head but at times they are down one side of my face and make ne feel like i have a tooth ache/face ache etc.

The click in my neck....a bit like a crunching sound....only happens when i turn my head to the right and back. I shuffer from alot of pain around the base of my head when i turn to the right also but not everyday.

I had scans and follow ups of the brain until about 2008 and everything was said to be fine.

Could these be related?

I'm so fed up of being told its stress/depression/anxiety. I have a good job and just got my own flat so couldnt be happier!

Hi, I'm sorry for your suffering. I also have clicking in my neck and it was diagnosed as osteoarthritis. My neck used to crack constantly and it drove me nuts. It's often stiff and sore and I get a lot of headaches. In my case, I have TMJ which is causing the headaches. I get relief from muscle relaxers, heat pad and Acupuncture once a week. I tried Excedrin Migraine today b/c a friend with TMJ told me it helped him. It did relieve the headache, but didn't get rid of it entirely. Any Dr. who tells you the pain is from anxiety and depression is an idiot and not worth seeing. That's what they also tell women especially when they don't know what the problem is. You can pm if you'd like. I hope you find some answers and pain relief soon. Sue
