'Cleveland Show', 'Family Guy', 'American Dad!' Crossover Delayed

They probably don't want to go too far out of their way, and it doesn't seem like FOX's style to schedule a new episode at the last minute (unless that show is being burned off, like with one episode of Running Wilde, or it's a replacement for a canceled show, like American Dad! replacing Sons of Tuscon or Lie to Me replacing Lone Star). They never seem to have a problem with doing vice versa though.

Whoop -- no Simpsons for me either. As soon as the show began, a special report hit that Bin Laden was dead. So....nothing this week. DVD time.

Boy, how's this for irony? We wouldn't have gotten the Hurricane Night anyway!

I stopped watching on my TV awhile ago, I'll catch it on Hulu.

I do remember something like this happening awhile ago, during the original airing of the Futurama episode "War is the H-Word". AS SOON AS Bender said, "What's the point of living if you can't say ass? Uh oh..." it immediately cut to a news report... which was just people signing papers and went on longer than necessary and by the time it was over King of the Hill had already started. I was pissed at that point, but looking back it was kind of funny.

So, I guess it was a good thing that the Hurricane crossover was delayed. If it wasn't, it would've been overtaken by the news involving Bin Ladden's death. Funny, isn't it?

The breaking news only interrupted the reguarly scheduled program for those on the West Coast. The rest of us got the news at 10:45pm.

I hope FOX doesn't try to force AS not to air it..

AS hardly ever gets the respect it deserves for helping to get Family Guy renewed (and by the transitive property American Dad and The Cleveland Show)

Also, considering Brian is supposed to be
tripping mushrooms
in this coming episode and the title is "Seahorse Seashell Party", my friends and I have really been wondering if we're going to get any further references to (Caution: Strong Language) THIS in the episode. That would be pretty amusing.

Definitely agree on that, as the moment that the episode cut to a special report was so perfect, that I prefer to turn off the TV at the exact moment when it comes to reruns of that episode.

I didn't have cable when Futurama was still on FOX, so I didn't get to see many reruns of it. However, now we have the whole series on DVD, so I may try that one day xD

Yeah I don't see why you would think that AS would get to air the episode BEFORE FOX. Besides "Weinstein" (which was before the show was brought back into production) no episode has aired first on AS and then aired later on FOX, even episodes that were suppose to air on FOX but were then pushed back for whatever reason. AS always schedules them but will then change them if they don't air on FOX first (and they're also pretty lazy/weird with what they air instead. Why of all episode "8 Simple Rules For Buying My Teenage Daughter?" Why not reair "The Former Life Of Brian" if you don't want to move around the entire schedule?). And yeah I don't see them airing new episodes to cover old ones, but I don't see why they didn't at least say "due to the hurrican we can't air the three part Cleveland Show/Family Guy/American Dad special so we're showing reruns instead". They adveritsed they were going to show it then didn't show them, which makes them into liars from someone who didn't hear about the hurricanes. And actually to people who did since they didn't say why they weren't showing the episodes.
