Clear something up about today in comparison to the last ice age?

Hello all so I used to be a firm believer in global warming, and that technology and industry and all that has led to increased temperatures, CO2 levels, all that stuff. I just finished up a geology course and my teacher showed us the history of the earth. He showed us CO2 throughout time with respect to global temperature. He stated that today we are still coming OUT of the last ice age that occurred, which makes it very normal for temperatures to rise. He also showed that today's CO2 levels are very low compared to thousands and thousands of years ago. So all this new data has left me extremely confused haha can anyone make sense of it?! Is the rise in temperature natural, human induced, what?

This piece gives a fair description of how green house gases function in the atmosphere and their relative strength in retaining heat. For co2 to have the climate effect claimed by the warmers it would need to be almost equal in volume to oxygen which is at about 21%. Water vapor, which can vary from 1 to 3 percent, is much powerful as a retainer of heat than co2 can ever be.

we are not 'coming out' of an ice age, we should be 'heading back down' into the next one. but we arent.....


take a look at this graph;

notice the 'sawtooth' pattern? temperature peaks, then reduces in jerks, but this time, its sort of stayed the same....

as for long term temp. when temperatures and CO2 were higher than now was before the antarctic froze.

ok, that all looks fine, but consider the rate of change. the only times the climate has changed really, really, fast, like after a huge series of volcanic eruptions, we have had a world wide extinction....

CO2 is a greenhouse gas but the warming from it is probably greatly exaggerated by the alarmists. It should warm some but the exact amount is hard to determine and it doesn't seem to be enough to drive climate. Water is vastly more important as a greenhouse gas so natural changes in climate will likely mask the minor contribution of humans.
