Clear armor for the blackberry 8530?

I want to purchase a blackberry in a funky color. Obviously I would need a case for it but I feel a rubber case will defeat the purpose of the color that I like. I heard about this clear armor technology and was wondering of it really works? I can only seem to find video's with the armor being applied to the I-phone which looks simple because the phone is flat. What about the berry with noticeable buttons? Is the application just as easy?
 
generally screen protectors don't cover the keys and will provide protection for the screen, back and sides. the application to me is easy since i've done it so many times, but the first time can be a bit nerve-racking. just take your time and read the instructions and don't rush!
