Cleaning yard pricked index finger with rose bush thorn

Hello all-I was wondering why after i pricked my index finger today with a rose bush thorn while cleaning up the yard-and after removing a part of the thorn from my finger--I now have joint pain in that finger when i bend it and it feels very warm compared to the other fingers? I removed the entire thorn--it was a small pointy thorn--Thanks for any info.. Happy Holidays to all..

I hope you cleaned the finger really good, put some peroxide on it and keep an eye on it, those thorns can cause really bad infections.
