While packing up our Christmas stuff we discovered that a nice clay type ornament from 2002 is getting really soft and started to fall apart. I'm trying to glue it back together and reinforce the cracks but parts are still really soft and almost bendable. We thought it may have been against a tree light bulb and it got too warm but it's a special ornament and I'd like to save it. Any suggestions? Is there anything I can buy at a craft store that may re-harden it so it's sturdy? We don't store ornaments in an area with a major temp variance so I don't know what happened. Similar ornaments are fine. Thanks.
