It's not. Competition shows your own strengths and weaknesses, and we need to know our strengths and weaknesses to mature in life. It would make everyone equal, and I don't think we are all on the same level. The main reason I state this is because I have family in different branches of the military. Competition is good, because they are willing to fight to show how strong and proud America is. If we all backed down, we wouldn't be any better than the third-world countries.
However, to correctly answer your question, it CAN be good because it would create "world peace," but then again....would it?
