Civilizations 4 - Error?

Whenever I try to load Civilizations 4 up, it stops at about 70% loading and says there is an Init Error: Error loading shader libraries. It started happening right after I downloaded and updated Civilizations 4 to the Patch, 1.74 on the multiplayer tab. What do I do to stop this?
