I have just bought and installed Civilization IV the complete edition. The installation itself was without problems (although there are no usual signs that a game was installed - it is not in the Start menu, on the desktop and it doesn't show up in the list of programs available to be uninstalled); however, now when I want to start the game, if I run it from the DVD it starts Civilization IV Colonization only. When I try and start the game from the folder where it was installed, the same happens. It either starts the basic game only, Beyond the Sword only or Warlords only.
I am a little confused. I thought that these were expansion packs, not separate games. Does anyone know if there is a way to just start the game, and play all of the expansion packs at the same time? Thanks.
That's true, I haven't really explained it well. When I say I run BTS by itself, I of course mean it runs the original game too, but not Warlords. I can also just play the basic game by itself (none of the things that came with BTS and Warlords are included)... So, it's really frustrating because I can choose to play the basic game, the basic game + BTS or the basic game + Warlords... I'm so confused... And I run the games by just going to the folders where they were installed (c drive, program files, etc.). And I've tried reinstalling a few times, it always ends up the same... Anyways, thanks for trying to help. Hopefully, their tech support will have some more clues for me..
