Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword text glitches?

i have hard copy civ 4 original, and downloaded warlords and beyond the sword from Impulse. in the game, some text is missing for example the research "Communism" the name is replaced by something like _RESEARCH_UTOPIA_ or something, where is the text document that i can modify to fix all this. also when i go to the "Change Civics" option, it doesnt load correctly and i cant exit using the exit button. anybody know how to fix or do i have to complain to firaxis to fix it.
