I'm trying to remember a couple old computer games my cousins used to play more than ten years ago.
One of them involved exploring the countryside, sometimes coming across huts. You'd have to take a risk to venture inside the hut: sometimes there might be loot, other times there might be bandits. This one seemed relatively primitive. Can't remember if there was more to it.
The other involved starting out with some sort of space ship and some sort of landing pad—but on the surface of a planet. I think you had to use the ship to gather resources before you could build anything else.
I've read about Sid Meier's games and looked at a lot of screenshots but nothing quite seems to fit. Maybe I'm just not remembering it right. Does anyone have any idea what games I'm thinking about?
