My hotel is located less than a block away from a freeway exit, in phoenix arizona, and they are permanently closing the exit! This will hurt my revenues substantially and im so enraged. My property value will also decrease. I am not the only business on the street, there are several restaurants near by. Any tax breaks or can i sue?

I have so much debt and operating costs to pay please help me.

Typically, when a governmetn body makes access to your business difficult, they will post signs routing your potential customers to your business via a detour.

In the case where they are permanently closing the freeway access, you'd do well to ask the city to assist you in either building an ad campaign that will overcome that issue, or ask them to aid you financially in relocating your business.

Finally, if you think the city is acting with negligence or malicious intent, you can sue to recover your losses.
