Jyaner:
I went back to look and buy some more yesterday as I see a difference when I take the calcium/magnesium/D3 supplements in liquid form. Two tablespoons have the daily recommended allowance for people my age (mid fifties). The brand I use is Bluebonnet, but I noticed there were two other bottles with different brand names right next to it. Therefore, more than one company or lab makes this liquid formula.
I suspect that it is the magnesium and calcium in liquid form that act as an antiacid. I noticed that I did not have any heartburn whatsoever or only minimally during the three weeks I was using the liquid formula morning and night. I think the regular price for the bottle is like $12.99, but it was on sale yesterday for $9.99 and I purchased two. I bought mine at Whole FooRAB, but you can probably purchase it anywhere, even on line. The recommended daily dose is two tablespoons a day. Two tablespoons have 1200 mg calcium, 500 mg magnesium and 800 mg vitamin D3. The liquid makes it more easily absorbable by the stomach and, I think, has the added benefit of working as an antiacid.
I figure I have to take calcium, magnesium and vitamin D3 anyway. If the liquid form works well and also helps with heartburn, why not do it.
Hope I am not breaking any forum rules by posting this information.
