I am highly interested in joining the United States Military, preferably, the Air Force. However I am not a US citizen. I have been living in the United States for the last 3.5 years under a Student visa (f-1 status). I graduate from college in 4 months. I do not have a green card. Do I qualify? Several sources tell me that I can apply and be naturalized as long as I do not get dishonorably discharged within the 5 years in service. Other sources say that I need to have at least a green card to be eligible to apply.
