Citi Bank t-mobile rebate?

Okay when I bought a phone from t-mobile I filled out the rebate form after a few weeks I just got it in the mail and I thought it would be a check. But it's a Citi Bank card worth $50 do I use it just like a credit card?
I'm wondering because I want to use it to buy groceries today
