Cisco show flash vs. show version difference?

When wanting to know the amount of flash a router has, I use show flash, but that usually gives me a different number than show version.

For example, with show version I get:

16384K bytes of processor board System flash (Read/Write)

And with show flash I get:

[5571584 bytes used, 58444800 available, 64016384 total]
63488K bytes of processor board System flash (Read/Write)

And this is in the same router.

What's going on here that I'm not understanding?
