Cingular User - Upgrade from LG1400

I am with Cingular in Northern Virginia.

My LG1400 seems to work fine, but after leaving it in my back pocket while helping with X-Rays on one of my kids... it just doesn't seem to work right. For one it doesn't always ring when someone calls it. It needs to be go, receiving calls is kind of an important "feature"...

So, I was thinking about a V3. I bought one for my wife recently and she likes it. My wife thinks I should get a windows type PDA phone and/or the Treo 650 since I do travel and carry a PDA. It functions as a contact manager, scheduling, reading Excel spreadsheets and PDF docs mostly. I'm not sure I would want to have a phone of that size on my hip... my PDA generally stays in my briefcase. A bluetooth enabled phone would be a must since holding my current PDA like a phone would be awkward.

Then again, I like to keep things simple and I truly do not feel like I know enough about Palm Based and Windows based phones to pick a good one at a reasonable price. I would also prefer a Windows based over Palm since I've never messed with Palm... maybe Palm isn't that different/difficult?

Can someone give me some suggestions or maybe you have faced a similar dilema, please do share. Three phones I am considering are the V3, Treo 650 and the HP 6515.

The 8125 looks pretty cool, I also like the fact it has WiFi included. Most hotels I stay at on the road have free WiFi, so that would be nice. I also have a WiFi network at home. The price is a little more than I'd like to shell out... but I might. I ran across this page that listed a bunch of PDA phones with short writeups... http://www.mobiletechreview.com/smartphone.htm#ppc

The SX66 looks interesting as well as others. Will keep digging and researching.
