cingular to Tmo question

Hello everyone! I was wondering if any one has switched from cingular to tmo and is happier with their blackberry service? I am thinking about switching over to tmo when they get the blackberry 8320, however I am curious about internet speeds and service compared to cingy. Also, is there any other tmo blackberry specifis that are better or worse than cingular's? Thanks for any help!

Just wanted to chime in. I haven't switched carriers at all. TMO was the only carrier to give me a contract without putting down a huge deposit. I have never been late on a mobile payment. I guess it's Cingulars loss. Anyways Cingular and TMO have a roaming agreement. Not exactly sure how it's set up though. I can always see Cingular/AT&T where ever I go. I'm not exactly sure if you can manually switch from one network to the other anytime you want.

My coverage of TMO is great. It really all depends on that. If your coverage is good with TMO in your area then it would be a benifit to switch in my opinion. Their rates are better. Customer service is MUCH better. I find them to be the better company. My opinion of course.

About internet speeds. It will basically be the same since both networks are EDGE enabled. You won't see any difference until someone jumps to 3G.

I hope this helps.

~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~ thanks reddog for the advice. I actually had a sidekick before my blackbery and tmo was the in fact the only carrier that didn't make me put down a huge payment. I really like that about tmo as well as great customer service (your right on that one.). About edge speeds though, I have more than a few people say that cingy's speeds aren't what tmo's are, that tmo has much faster internet speeds. Is there any truth to this? One of the reason and one of the biggest reasons why I am switching to tmo is because they do have really great rate plans. Well thanks again reddog. By the way, does any one have any information on when the 8320 is even coming out? I mean, I know that tmo just got the 8800 so it shouldn't be for a while right?

I can't help on the internet speeds. I don't think I know anyone with Cingular/AT&T. Most of my friends have Sprint, Verizon or TMO. I guess we all dislike the man.

I have no clue on when the 8300 will be coming out. Some think around June when the iPhone does. It's all rumors though.

I have two lines (Cingular's is a BB 8800, work provided; TMO is a pearl for personal use), one with Cingular and one with TMO. There's no difference at all in their speeds.

Cynamicny is right. They use the exact same network and have the same data transfer rates. I have a TMO Pearl (personal) and a Verizon 7250 (work provides). On the new EDGE network, I still can't tell a big difference between these 2 providers either.
