Cingular - looking for advice like everyone else. =)

I currently have an old LG1400, which works fine but I really want to load custom audio ringtones. It can't really do it, at least not longer than 4 seconds.

I'm looking to upgrade with Cingular but looking to do it at no cost. They have a few that have an 'online discount' that makes them free. I'm looking for the best one to connect to the PC to get stuff on it, or at least can get stuff on it like that without any problems/limitations.

Cingular has these as options:
LG C2000
LG CG225
Motorola L2
Samsung X507

I like having a flip style and camera phone, so the LGs appeal to me. Does anyone have experience with these? DataPilot and BitPM say they can't work with either, but the L2 is fully supported by DP. So that makes me lean to the L2 just for the sake that I'm fairly certain I can add my own audio.

I appreciate anyone's time and help!

I was thinking that but a couple of bucks is still more than I have to spare .. I'll probably take another look. What would be a good butcheap one to look for that has these features:

flip style
any res camera
ability to load mp3 or any format custom ringtones
GSM

pluses:
ability to play/load games and
ability to load/set backgrounds on the phone and outside screens

Again, I appreciate all the help!

The RAZR V3's dirt cheap and fits your needs, either buy one off the b/s/t section of this website or from eBay.

Oh please, spare us the RAZR's are crap story..for a basic phone they are good, part metal, fairly small and slim with good reception and call quality. I would rather have it than a big plasticky clamshell with a huge stub antenna.

How "hack-able" are the razrs? Not that I'm out to steal stuff, but I want to control any device I buy -- not have that device control me. Which is why I want a new phone... I want to be able to set my own audio rings from stuff I can't get anywhere, I want to load my own graphics as backgrounds, ... not be stuck with only what the phone wants to let me do, you know?
