Cingular launches 7130c... now Rogers get the 7130g

So far - I'm impressed with the 7130g (over the 7100r that I had).

So RIM has the right hardware & Rogers has good coverage...now to get them to get with the technology, and up their data plans (or lower the costs).

**Not holding my breath...lol

Hilarious!

I was just doing a prior 12 month comparision of my voice and data useage to determine if a different plan would be better.

And I got talking with one of the BlackBerry support people at Rogers and explained that Telus and Rogers are currently the same, but that Bell is (finally) unlimited.

The rep has worked with Rogers BB support for 4 years and has never seen use over 25 MB. And that the limit is set to avoid abuse.

I then countered with: I only went over once I got the EDGE enabled 7130.

She replied that the EDGE BB's have only been out since December (8700, and recently the 7130) and that the data limits haven't been reviewed yet.

Yeah, it's only a rep, and she's only trying to satiate my desires....but it could be revised in the future, especially if attempting to compete with Bell.

We'll see - as with the new EDGE technology - the data limits will definitely need to be reviewed.

I used to own 2 Rogers stores - and let me tell you - the Rogers machine is a very SLOW one to make changes. I used to have to wait for 6+ months for Rogers Corporate to review my co-op advertising ~ let alone acrually SEND the check. lol Hell - come to think of it - I'm still waiting for some $$ that is owed to me!

I work for Rogers, and I'm not slagging them at all, it's a great company...but I know exactly what you're talking about!

I find that emailing a president or vp or ceo will get results quickly.

Always cc all emails to someone higher than the to, and something should happen.
