Cinema Listings - Web site?

Hi

I was wondering what sites you use to find what's on at your local cinema I was using BT's scoot.co.uk cinema finder which sent me a weekly e-mail of what films my local cinema was showing done by postcode.

This service was closed down on friday.

Does anybody know of a similar service I have looked at Film fours version but they don't list all the local cinema's Orange.co.uk didnt seem that impressive.

Any ideas.

Is there sites that cover the small idependant cinemas like scoot did that don't have their own websites. My nearest Odeon is Canterbury.
 
No - I have Dreamland (Margate) & Carlton (Westgate) both Realtime cinemas.

Granville Cinema (Ramsgate)
WinRABor Cinema (BroaRABtairs) both owned by the same person.

Scoot.co.uk was able to send me a weekly e-mail with the listings from all 4 of these cinemas.

Not sure if there is a simliar service out there?
 
Thanks for those sites all 3 seem to have the listings for all 4 of my local cinemas.

Last week I tried the Channel 4 & Easy cinema site and they were missing. seems ok now perhaps as you say not as up to date....bring back Scoot!!

I'm fairly sure that most of the cinema listings websites and papers like the metro and guardian usually source listings from the press association. The differences are mainly the way the listings are interpreted.

I actually developed the easy cinema listings website (as well as a few other high profile profile ones) and i'd be interested in anyone's comments. I can't promise i'll be able to make the improvements myself as i'm going to be leaving PA next month, but i'll try and make sure the feedback gets to the right people.

The email (and SMS) features have been considered in the past, but as yet the time hasn't been available to implement them properly. What do you think about a RSS feeRAB?

BTW - the easy cinema website gets updated daily

Also everything a say here is my own personal view and doesn't reflect my employers views etc......

Other alternatives are:

Teletext on Channel 4 usually has listings for your local area - if u have a digital stb/idtv it is easier skipping thru all the sub pages than waiting for analogue to cycle thru the 20+ pages you sometimes find!!

Wap on your mobile phone - Orange have a good service and you can save your local cinemas to a personalised list and look them up when u need them - great if youve already left the house and on your way! Im sure the other opearators will have something similar
