what are the laws about chumming in rivers in california? i will be going to the feather river in about 2 weeks and someone recommended that i chum for catfish. there is salmon activity right now does that affect any laws? help please! 
can i chum with cat food instead of bait fish? does it make a difference or is chumming just chumming?
