I have been having problems with the radiator and heater since early this year. I took it to the shop and they supposedly put in a new radiator and fixed the heating problem. My warranty has expired! The radiator's been leaking for the past three months, we've put a sealer and worked for a little while. My boyfriend who knows very little about cars has been refilling it with anti-freeze as a temporary fix.

I have two questions:
1. Does the heater have anything to do with the radiator?
2. About how much will it cost me to repair the problem?

Please help!!!!

Low coolant will cause your heater to blow cold or lukewarm air. The only way to repair it is to replace the radiator that is leaking.

HI
I drought the radiator is bad again they usually last for a long time ..... I'd start by checking all the hose's and all the clamps as well as the radiator cap its self if it don't hold pusher it well cause the motor to push out fluid. With the car only about 5years old I drought that the heater core is shot ether.
You need to find the leak. that stuff you put in for leaks doesn't work.... Low coolant well cause you to not have heat in the car.. ALL CARS USE THE MOTOR COOLANT TO HEAT THE INSIDE OF THE CAR.
good luck

maybe it,s a radiator hose that,s leaking instead of the radiator. the heater won,t make the radiator leak. the heater has a core of its own.
