I'm looking for one of two things for my Chrysler.
The first, which is what I really want, is a way to disable the SKIM system. Yes, I realize this is a security feature, but it's one I'm unaccustomed to, and thus, I won't miss. Also, I can assure you that I also won't miss spending $200 for a key.
Because this is a security feature, feel free to message me what I need to get, where I need to go, or who I need to find. Just answer "Sent a message" or something similar, and if your solution works, that answer will be set as the best answer.
NOTE: Do NOT tell me this cannot be done unless you KNOW it can't be done. So if you tell me that, you need be/have been a car tech that has seen inside Chrysler 2005 systems, and know that the option can't be changed with the computer.
Also, I know about the option of taking the chip out and just leaving that in the car. That method is unpreferred.
The second, and less preferred alternative is somewhere that I can get a key for much cheaper. A type of wholesale of something? Somewhere I can get it for cheap, and not $200?
