...engine sign/light to stay on? I need to make a correction on my vehicle from 2002 to 2001. (prior to my question regarding timing belt)
now that's been cleared, I swapped the engine because after timing belt broke, my engine was pretty much a junk.
I had it swapped by a friend of my uncle who is a retired mechanic.

after engine swap, check engine sign has been staying on since.
(also, the car runs a little rough)

he said he didn't replace the computer when he swapped the engine because the new engine was pretty much the same one as my old one. (my car is 2001 coupe 3.0 LX model, and the new engine from 22002 coupe 3.0 LXI)

I'm not sure what he meant by a computer for the engine, but I would like to know if any of you know what it is.

and if you know what the cause is, I also would like to know how difficult it is for someone who's not a mechanic to do it.
(I'm not very handy with car repairs, but I know basic stuff like changing engine oil, spark plugs, brakes, etc)
