Engine Performance problem
1999 Chrysler Cirrus 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 103000 miles
I notice that when at a stop while in gear, my rpms will drop down to the first line (500?) and the oil light will come on. The engine acts like it wants to die but doesn't.
also, I've had a mechanic check it out and put it on the diagnostic scanner they have. No codes came back. Notice that this only happens once the car has warmed up to the max safe temp.. (guessing the fan being on or heat of the engine is making something mess up)
Ive replaced the Idle air control valve, which many told me was the problem.. it is still doing the same thing.
Additional Details
from start til it warms up.. the car runs perfect.
oil level fine, just changed a week ago. Tune-up not needed..
suggested: egr valve, oxygen sensors, vacuum leak, tps , and fuel pump.
would any of this just work bad when the car is warmed up? trying to eliminate unnecessary costs.
