Chrysler Concord repair question?

My girlfriend pulled out the cigarette lighter jack on my Chrysler Concord LX ('97). So I put it back in and made sure all the connections were made. Then I turned on my car and not only is there no power on the cigarette lighter but the front speakers get no power. I think that one of the fuses was blown but I don't know which one or even were the fuses are in my car.

What do you think?

Five stars to the best answer.

If you open up the drivers door, then look at the dash area that would meet up with the door there is a plastic fuse box cover that had a place to slide your fingers in to pull the cover off.The fuse box cover will have a list of fuses/relays and my bet is that the lighter fuse is blown and usually the lighter fuse feeds the stereo the positive constant 12 volts that it uses for the memory and display , there is another fuse for the stereo that is a switchable ignition feed.Note not always will the fuse chart mention both radio fuses but again check/replace the yellow 20amp, it maybe fuse no8 that is for cig lighter/horn/sunroof etc or check fuse no2 a red 10amp fuse it's just for the stereo.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way look in the lighter socket make sure that the centre piece of metal isn't touching the outside metal bec it will short out and blow and this is a very common problem.
